Schaltbau GmbH set up a cross-plant task force team at the end of February to implement a series of preventive measures to avoid the spread of the new COVID-19 virus.

Efforts taken at an early stage to protect the employees and our production facilities have paid off so far. Our top priority is to minimize the risk of infection, while maintaining operations capabilities.

Limiting or canceling business trips, a mandatory 14-day quarantine of any employees who have been in areas of concern, limitation of meetings or cancellation of internal events, were among the first measures that we adopted.

For the workspaces, measures were taken to increase the hygiene by disinfecting the contact points (lift, doors, etc.), limiting access and fluidizing the paths of access, in accordance with the recommendations of the authorities, constantly keeping the employees informed about the increase of hygiene, conduct and prevention measures.
The implementation of flexible working arrangements and home office was needed to enable childcare by employees and to reduce the risk of infection during commute.

All the measures we have implemented enable us to ensure that production continues as planned and that customer orders are processed further. We remain committed to providing our customers best service and support throughout this difficult time.

Our special thanks go to our staff, for their dedication and exemplary conduct in the fight against the spread of the virus.

As the situation changes rapidly, we will constantly monitor new developments and inform you accordingly.
